How to talk to a climate change denier
If you have a denier claim and seek answer, post it below.
The climate changed before
Yes, but each time a major change happened the event is connected to wiping out large amounts of species on Earth, or creating conditions in the Ocean which killed off life. Further reading
Climate change is a natural cycle
This is true for the past, and like in the past, climate change is connected to changes in the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Today, we have emitted much more what would be required to force a climate change. Thus, the climate change we can currently observe is entirely dependent on our emissions, therefore it is not a natural cycle anymore.
Climate change happens because of the Sun
The Sun output did not change in the last couple of decades. Further reading
Climate change is not bad
Sea level rise, extreme weather already affect critical infrastructure, or food crops, and threatens people all over the world. The last time sea level changed drastically, the Earth responded with more earthquakes, and volcanism.[a],[b] Many species can not adapt to the rate of climate change today, affecting food chains.
